Big Day #2: Embryo Transfer

Our transfer was scheduled for 10:30 this morning. The doctor's office called at 8:56am to say they want to push it up to 9:30 because the doctor has an emergency at the hospital. So we race--it takes a half an hour to get to his office from our house. DH is all flustered. We get there in plenty of time, they show us our embryos and we talk about how many to transfer--we did the three strongest ones and froze the other three--the chances on a second try will not be as high as this one. It was a fairly quick proceedure--mostly like a pap smear but it took slightly longer. The part that bothered me the most was the ultrasound pressing on my stomache--it even cut me a little. Then we went to my acupuncturists office and she did a treatment to strengthen my baby palace (uterus). Then it was home where DH had relegated me to bed rest--He is making dinner, a rare occasion. I go in Tuesday to get my progesterone levels checked. Then on Halloween, they will do a blood pregnancy test. Three progesterone shot down--67 to go.
Now the question is when do we tell people one way or the other. Right away? Wait a while? Everyone knows what we have done so it is a little hard to keep it a secret.
