Fun Weekend

So, my mom and mother-in-law spent the weekend in Tucson. They flew in Saturday morning. We had lunch--the three of us and my sister-in-law. It was a mother/daughter weekend. Then we went to a wonderful play: Enchanted April. It was fantastic. I love the move, and this did not disappoint in any way. Dinner was at my house that evening: crock pot leg of lamb, roasted yams, green beans with butter and shallots, and dinner rolls. For dessert: angel food cake, fresh strawberries and real whipped cream. It was a lovely day all around. The following day, the four of us met at the Tanque Verde Antique fair. We found some good stuff. I got 4 pieces of art, and cute glass candy dish and a purpled cruet. The cruet has been purpled by the sun--it is my third such piece. The impurities in the glass, cause it to turn purple over time when exposed to sun. This takes 100 or more years to happen. After this, my mom and I went to lunch at Firebirds, then we did a little more shopping at Anthropologie(two new aprons and a wallet) and Pottery Barn(more salad plates and some fall decor). Dinner that evening was as Melisa's. She made Lasagna, garlic bread and salad; and for dessert, pumpkin patch and fresh whipped cream. All very good. I took this morning off to have breakfst with the mom's and take them to the airport. All in all, a very fine weekend.
