:-) = took a home pregnancy test and it was negative. Oh well, was not expecting it to be poisitve.
:-) = drinking vodka mai tai things because I was not pregnant.
:-) = still no sign of a new cycle, so I am thinking about taking provera to get it started. I want to regulate things so that we can do IVF again in January. Husband says pee on a stick just in case. So I did the next morning. Holy Capinoloy, it was positive. There were two lines. But it was a cheapie test I bought off the internet a while ago. Cculd be wrong. 7 hours later, I took another cheapie = positive. 4 hours later a digital = PREGNANT. The next morning, still positive. wow, this might just be true. This was all on a Saturday and Sunday. I went and got a blood test on Monday and Dr. Gelety confirmed and I was pregnant, but I was not sure when it happened. I just miscarried in August and never got a new cycle so who knows when I ovulated, I was not keeping track. We told our parents immediately, but they were to keep in quiet for while.
:-) = I go in for an ultrasound and I see a gestational sac and a yold sac. Dr, G sees a corpeus leutum, and he dates me at 5 weeks 3 days and gives me a due date of June 4th.
:-) = My 6th week of being pregnant, I do have symptoms. I'll take each and every one of them and be happy about it no matter how miserable I may feel. Had another ultrasound and saw the baby and its little hearbeat. It looked like a grain of rice.
:-) = My 7th week of pregnancy, lots of symptoms. No ultrasound this week, but Dr. G plans to keep me as he usually would even though this happened without his intervention. There was a 1% chance of this happening on its own. Between PCOS, Endometriosis and having only one fallopian tube, the odds were not in out favor.
:-) = My 8th week of pregnancy. None of my pregnancies made it this far so it was a stessful week, but I made it to the ultrasound and everything was GREAT. Baby was more of a blob and still measuring with the original due date. The little one wiggled and measured 18 mm. Everything just felt different this time and I have to say is it really great to not get daily shots of progesterone in oil.
:-) = week 9. Despite the contoversy among pregnant ladies, I got the H1N1 vaccine. Waited in a two hour line for it. I feel better having gotten it. And I met with the midwives at the birthing center. Husband is not so sure about natural unmedicated childbirth but I am. I found out I have a bladder infection and had to take antibiotics for 10 days. And another ultrasound with Dr. G, baby measured 25 mm. I could see arms and legs and a little butt. So Cool!
:-) = week 10. Another ultrasound with baby measuring at 38 mm, still on target. We saw bending elbows and knees! All my blood work is coming back great. This was my last appointment with Dr. Gelety.
:-) = week 11. I develop a rash, not related to pregnancy. But I will have it for the next 8-12 weeks. Not itchy, not viral, not bacterial, no treatment, just ugly. All over my chest and torso--red dry patches. ICK.
:-) = week 12. I had my second midwife appointment which included a glucose screen, annual exam and we got to hear the Baby's heartbeat the doppler. It was wonderful. On Thanksgiving, we announced it to the rest of the family. We wore shirts. Mine said "finally" with an arrow pointing down. Husband's said, "Yeah. I knocked her up." The news was a hit. And that night I went public on facebook.
:-) = and so begins week 13 and the beginning of the 2nd trimester. So far, I am enjoying every moment of the journey.
